SIERG is the result of more than 20 years of international cooperation in education, research and professional development.
Its roots go back to the early 2000s, when cooperation between OWZ Bayern and OWZ-Armenia established a growing international network connecting educational institutions, professional organizations and partners across Europe and beyond.
Over time, this cooperation evolved from individual international initiatives into a permanent institutional platform — today’s Selart International Education & Research Group (SIERG).
In the early 2000s, the OWZ cooperation model expanded across approximately 23 countries, bringing together around 80 partners and approximately 160 training programs.
The network promoted international education, professional development, research cooperation, mobility and stronger links between education and employers.
The experience accumulated through these partnerships created the foundations for a broader international education and research platform.
Under the leadership of Dr. Artur Baghdasaryan and together with international partners, this vision progressively evolved into the International Education & Research Alliance and subsequently SIERG.

Participating institutions remain independent while gaining new opportunities to cooperate internationally, share knowledge and develop joint initiatives.
